Emmanuel Osei Kwame, Asante Kotoko’s injured goalkeeper has been discharged from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) after successfully undergoing surgery.

The goalkeeper went under the knife last Friday to correct his anterior cruciate ligament tear injury. After two days of observation by doctors, they have given him the clear to go home.

“Following a successful operation at KATH on Wednesday, goalie Emmanuel Osei Kwame has now been discharged and will continue his rehabilitation under the care of Dr. Konadu Yeboah (pictured 1st from right) and our medical team”, Asante Kotoko has confirmed today in a Twitter post.

Emmanuel Osei Kwame who plays as a third fiddle to Kwame Baah and Felix Annan at the club has not made any appearances in the Ghana Premier League this season.

He hopes to regain full fitness in time before the football season makes a return after the Coronavirus (Covid-19) break.
