Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Emmanuel Osei Kwame has undergone a successful surgery as he targets making full recovery before football makes a return in the country.

The third-choice goalkeeper has not featured for the Porcupine Warriors this season. Prior to the suspension of the campaign, he picked up an injury with tests indicated that he had suffered an anterior cruciate ligament tear.

At the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) today, Emmanuel Osei Kwame has undergone successful surgery to correct the problem.

“Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Emmanuel Osei Kwame has undergone surgery at KATH his Injury anterior cruciate ligament tear.

“Everyone at Asante Kotoko SC wishes our goalkeeper a speedy recovery”, a statement on the Twitter page of Asante Kotoko has confirmed.

He is expected to continue nursing the injury and should return to light training in the next few weeks.
