Kurt Okraku has assured that his administration is determined to improve the standard of football in the country.
Football has been suspended since March 15 due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
The Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) have announced to make the Premier League autonomous.
With some administrators caution Mr Okraku about the run the league autonomous, the President of the Ghana FA believes making the league autonomous is part of the ways to improve the Ghana top-flight Football.
“It is the target of the FA to improve our league and that is why we have decided to play an autonomous league," he told Germany based Tropical Radio.
"In this case, organizers of the league will have free hands to work.
“Again, our decision to change the refereeing structure is a step in the right direction.
"We want to hunt for talented referees and make them better. So going forward, I think we are going to get a better league under my term," he added.
However, the FA will make a final pronouncement on the resumption of football on June 30.
