Dr Kwame Baah-Nuakoh has reiterated that Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) is not responsible to settle Kwesi Appiah's five months salary.

Kwesi Appiah has been on the neck of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) demanding for his five months salary arrears.

The FA has said they are not responsible to settle the $185,000 salary arrears.

However, Dr Baah-Nuakoh whoo is the Head of Sustainability at GNPC maintains his outfit which deals with the sustainability of sports development and as part of the requirements supports the Ministry of Youth and Sports and not responsible for payment of the Black Stars Coach

“GNPC doesn’t have a commitment with Kwasi Appiah neither do we have same with the Ghana Football Association (GFA)," he told Asempa FM.

"What we do is to help the Sports Ministry with some fund but as to how the Sports Ministry will use the money, we don't have authority over that.

"If Kwesi Appiah salary has not been settled since he left, I think someone should be responsible for that. GNPC is not responsible to pay his salary arrears," he added.
