A solitary strike from Ghanaian teenager Abu Francis has handed FC Nordsjaelland a 1-0 win against HB Koege ahead of the resumption of the top-flight league.

As a safety measure against the spread of the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, the 2019/2020 football season in Denmark has been on hold for the last 2 months.

Recently, the Danish Football Federation announced that it is planning for the campaign to continue the latest by the first week of June as it awaits approval from the government.

In line with that, clubs in the Superliga and the First Division have been given the green light to train and prepare.

Earlier today, FC Nordsjaelland engaged HB Koege in a friendly encounter at the Right to Dream Park to test the fitness level of its player and the conditions they are in.

At the end of the exercise, it was Ghana’s Abu Francis who netted the only goal of the match to hand FC Nordsjaelland a 1-0 win over their opponent.

His compatriots, Mohammed Kudus, Abdul Mumin, as well as Kamal Deen Sulemana were all handed starting roles and looked in good shape ahead of the return of competitive football.
