Former Asante Kotoko defender, John Kuffour has narrated how he mistakenly bits the girlfriend's nipples.

On Thursday, Kuffour was granted a Gh¢ 50,000 bail by the Ejisu District Court after bitten off the nipples of his girlfriend Dennisa Hagan.

However, according to him, it was intentional, revealing that the incident happened in 2017.

"The case happened in 2017 when I returned from Ethiopia [after ending his stay with Dedebit FC] but I don't know why she has resurrected the issue," Kuffour told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM

"I didn't intentionally bite the nipples of her [Dennisa Hagan] like it has been circulating everywhere in Ghana.

"It was a short struggle between us which her breast landed on my little after an attempt to push me to the ground.

"I am grateful to all Asante Kotoko fans who came to the Ejisu Police station after my arrest on Monday.

The Ejisu District Court presided over by Judge Kwaku Baah Frimpong ushered the Kuffour to assist his former girlfriend — who is a hairdresser to undergo an immediate surgery.

Kuffour is expected to report to the court in seven (7) days.

He previously had stint with Heart of Lions, Asante Kotoko and Dedebit FC in Ethiopia.

Currently, he is unattached after his contract with Dedebit FC expired in 2017.

Kuffour was set to undergo trial at Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak in 2017 but the club's fans protested against the management decision to offer a chance to train with the team under Kenichi Yatsuhashi.
