The Managing Director (MD) for Accra Hearts of Oak, Frederick Moore has indicated that football in the country will strive when it receives support from corporate Ghana and the government.

National teams, as well as clubs from the West Africa country, has struggled to enjoy triumph either on the continent or at the global stage.

While many admit the sport in the country has seen a decline over the years, Frederick Moore believes all that can change if football received support from corporate institutions and the government.

“For Ghana football to really do well and compete internationally, we need support from corporate Ghana and the government”, the Hearts of Oak MD said in an interview on Happy FM on a program on the theme the ‘Effects of COVID-19 on Football Clubs in Ghana’.

According to Mr. Moore, the impact of the Coronavirus disease in the country has given an indication that most clubs do not have good financial muscle.

He admits the financial implications in the past few months have been enormous and hence it is prudent for them to be supported.
