Ghana duo Harrison Afful and Jonathan Mensah have returned to Columbus Crew training after two months of training indoors due to coronavirus outbreak.

The duo were joined by other teammates but were forced to train individually.

The Black and Golds' return to training means all the Major League Soccer teams are getting ready for the imminent return of the league.

Coach Caleb Porter revealed the team is ready to follows the necessary guidelines and protocols to ensure the safety of players and the return of the MLS.

“We’re ready, whatever the league says. Whatever our ownership and our president says. Whatever the government says, we’re going to follow,” Porter said.

“And we’re going to be ready. And if they tell us tomorrow we can do groups of three or four, great. We’re going to do it. We’re going to come up with some training and progress.

"We’ll be happy. If they tell us we’re doing individuals for another three weeks, we’ll do it. If they tell us we can do team training, we’ll roll with it. We’re ready. We’ve got a good team, we’ve got a good group of guys. So I’m looking forward to whatever’s ahead.”
