Accra, June 8, GNA 96 The National Chief Imam, Alhaji Sheikh Usmanu Nuhu Sharabutu has called on Regional and District Imams and all Muslims to offer special prayers at their 91Jumat=92 prayers on Friday, June 9 for the Black Stars.
He said the special prayers are aimed at ensuring victory for the Stars in their opening match against Italy as well as their subsequent matches.
Alhaji Sharabutu who said this in a goodwill message issued on Thursday also asked Almighty Allah to guide, guard and protect the players. technical team and the supporters who will be at the tournament to cheer the Stars to victory.
He said as the Stars are making their maiden appearance at the World Cup tournament in Germany, there is the need for all to wish them God's guidance, good luck and a successful tournament.
