The Ghana Football Association (GFA) should put in place measures that will allow the football season to resume in the midst of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease behind closed doors, Godwin Attram has suggested.

The former Ghana U-17 captain in an interview with Joy FM today explained that the return of the German Bundesliga season this weekend is an indication that football can finally bounce back.

According to him, the Ghana FA can equally follow suit and allow the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season, and the other leagues to be continued behind closed doors.

“The league was good. It was really back. Two years we did not play. What makes me happy now is that Germany is playing football today despite COVID-19. People are dying but they are still playing.

“This makes me believe that football must come back. The GFA can adopt some measures to let it happen. We can play behind closed doors", Attram indicated.

That Ghanaian football season has been on suspension for the last 2 months because of the Coronavirus.

The GFA remains in contact with the government and the Health Ministry as they hope to smoothly see to the conclusion of the season.
