Kumasi Asante Kotoko players have finally agreed to accept salary cut, Modernghana.com can confirm.

The salary cut has dominated headlines following the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

It was reported last month that the management of the club and the players have agreed on a pay cut.

However, the reports was quashed by the hierarchy of the club.

But Modernghana.com can authoritatively confirm that the players of the club have accepted 30 per cent pay cut.

However, the players received their March salary 2 weeks ago whiles their April salary still remain outstanding till date.

Football in the country has come to a standstill since March 15 following the outbreak of the virus.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) suspended the 2019/20 football season after President Akufo Addo issued a directive to ban all social gatherings.

However, the Executive Council of the Ghana FA will pronounce a decision on the future of season on June 5.
