President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt E.S Okraku has assured that his outlet will put the incoming FIFA cash to good use.

World Football governing body, FIFA is distributing cash to all of its member association in the midst of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic to mitigate the financial challenges faced by its members.

With a total of $150 million being distributed, for now, the Ghana FA is expected to receive $500,000 as its share.

According to Kurt Okraku, the money has not yet hit the account of the country's football governing body but they are confident of receiving it soon. The Ghana FA boss insists that once it arrives, they will make sure they put it to good use.

“The FIFA Forward operational fund, which is $500,000 and the COVID-19 Emergency fund that is unknown, these are two different funds. The money has not yet come from FIFA but we believe it will hit our accounts soon to be put to good use”, the football administrator said in a conversation on GTV Sports Plus on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, he has also hinted that clubs will surely benefit something from the incoming funds to help them get through the financial crisis presented by the Covid-19 disease.
