Ghana FA Yet To Receive FIFA Relief Fund – Henry Asante Twum

Communications Director for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum has indicated that the body is yet to receive its share of the FIFA relief fund.

FIFA in a bid to supports its member associations in the midst of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic is sharing $150 million to help mitigate the financial burden that will come in terms of operational cost.

A couple of weeks after the world football governing body confirmed its plans to disburse the funs to the various associations, Henry Asante Twum says the GFA is yet to get an alert for its cash.

“We are all waiting to receive the money as promised by FIFA to share between the clubs but the exact date remains unknown. We will alert all major stakeholders when it drops”, the Ghana FA Communications Director told Silva on Thursday.

Meanwhile, club administrators in the West African Country continue to push the GFA to ensure they let them benefit from a part of the FIFA relief fund when it arrives.
