Hearts of Oak striker Abednego Tetteh has stressed that it is his aim to help the club win the Ghana Premier League title to have the chance of playing in CAF’s inter-club competitions.

Nicknamed the Phobians, the club has failed to lift the top-flight league title in the past decade, leaving them to stay at home whenever the best clubs on the continent fight for honors in the CAF inter-club competitions.

Speaking to Happy FM, new striker Abednego Tetteh has opened up on how he wants to play a key role to help Hearts of Oak qualify for Africa.

“I want to help the club qualify for Africa and win the league title. I already feel at home because the players here are already my friends. Football is one language and any team that you join irrespective of race or language makes you feel at home”, the former Bechem United goal poacher said.

Abednego Tetteh is one of 3 strikers who are currently available in the squad of the Rainbow-coloured club. The others are Kofi Kordzi and Nigerian import Danjuma Kuti.

The trio will lead the lines for Hearts of Oak when the Ghana Premier League returns and will be expected to bang in the goals to help the club achieve its goals.
