Government to assist Kwabre SHS with infrastructure

Nkoranza (B/A), March 19, GNA  - Government is to spend about four million Ghana Cedis on infrastructure at the Kwabre Senior High School at Akuma in the Nkoranza South Municipality of the Brong-Ahafo Region.

The project will include construction of dormitories, administration and science blocks, a dinning hall, classrooms and bungalows for staff.

In addition, government had provided the school with a 33-seater bus to facilitate movements for the 345 students and staff.

Mr Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Member of Parliament for Nkoranza South announced these in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Nkoranza on Tuesday.

The school began as a community day school in 2007 and absorbed into the public sector by the Government in 2012.

Mr Agyekum, who is also Deputy Minister-designate for the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, said the Shalom Special School for the mentally challenged at Nkoranza would be provided with face-lift to make it conducive for teaching and learning. GNA
