HAPPY INDECE DAY

She, in a whirlwind fashion
Broke the chains of slavery
and walked through the dark dungeons to freedom
She then invested visionarily
Churning in life time infrastructure
And began life anew in peace
Then there came the transitions
Military to Civilian to Military to Civilian
These brought struggles upon struggles
But stability smiled at her at a point
And never held it back
Today, she is an example of great democracy, the world over
The Gateway to Africa
One of the world's promising growing economies
And a talent giver to the world
All hail Ghana
Congratulations, you are 52 years today
