Justice

Oh, Mother Justice!
How many times do we have to cry?
We have desired a mother to embrace
In whose honour wilt thou be?
How long do we have to sit and watch our dreams shatter away?
For pain and frustration have rotted our smiles and stung us with bruises
We mourn, we've lamented our demands before thy door
With disgusting efforts, you trashed us away,
Where is thy conscience and just love thy promised?

But today, like no other,
We must lay to rest our impounded rage
For we have been brutally raped and chastised
We have been gourmandized by a devouring beast;
Yet with countless hope,
We will not wait;
We will not keep quiet;
Nor will we be bought,
For justice we seek, a mother to embrace.
