Love Is A Powerful Thing

I would speak about love in my childhood days
And my mama would hit me and say
FOR ADULT ONLY

We all want love
But do we really know what it is
Some say love happens
When the heart sees something it likes
And begin to run
Like a new fan placed on its highest switch
Like a man's heartbeat after running a marathon

But I would say
Love is Something no one completely understands
Love can make you feel weak at times
Love can take over and control your mind
Love often invades your dreams
Love can make u do some crazy things
Above all: love is kind, patient, gentle, trustworthy and hopeful

Love do not boast or envy
Love is not self seeking, angered and keeps no record of wrongs

Have you thought of how life would be without love
Without love, life would be like a glutton on a diet

like spectators in a stadium watching an empty field

taste like sand and salt solution
Life can't be like those samples
Love is something we all need
But keep in mind
You have to be patient, kind and forgiving to succeed

Love is something I hope to find one day.
