Poem: Kill The King
To kill the King upon his throne
And leave him naked without a robe
Is the passion the people had grown.
Once, a powerful king I was
Now I am nothing
I have
Nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide
Without hearing the chorus
From naked people whose song ring
From
Hill to Valley
City to Hamlet
Market to the grave
And a song which says
To kill the King
To kill the King upon his throne
Let's march forward
Let's march forward till the quest is complete
And I run
Yet it seems
My feet is about to fail me
My heart begins to beg for a rest
And I begin to realize that
In order to save my life
I may have to destroy my heart
I begin to reminiscence
How they have murdered my family
The reason they gave was that
I had murdered theirs
And to have my head on a plate
Will give them the sweet revenge
They have hoped for
They also said
“I was a dictator”
They want their freedom
And the freedom song they sing is
To kill the King
To kill the King upon his throne
Let's march forward
Let's march forward till the quest is complete
Then I stop and I muse
What am I living for?
Who am I living for?
I have no child
They have been murdered
I have no throne
It has been taken from me
I have neither a father nor a mother
They have been burnt to aches
I stop
I turn
I run
Not to life but to death
And the last song I sing before death
To kill the King
To kill the King upon his throne
Let's march forward
Let's march forward till the quest is complete
