16.06.2014 LISTEN

Portharcourt base artiste, Duncan Mighty, might have stepped on the wrong shoes in the helm of affairs of the state as he recently sent an open letter to Governor Amaechi, demanding for a balance of an acclaimed debt.

According to Duncan, he accused the state government of oweing him the sum of N50million for a Celebrity Youth Endorsement Concert in Port Harcourt which he organised on the 30th of March 2011.He said he was given 10 million naira through the then secretary to the state Govt. Senator Magnus Abe and the Governor,Rotimi Ameachi personally promised the balance of N50m will be paid.

Well, things might not be going down well with the artiste as the state commissioner for information, Ibim Semenitari has disclosed that the allegations are false as nothing of such existed.

The commissioner challenged the media to investigate the artiste and verify when he was contracted; when it was executed and who contracted him?

"It is unfortunate when some people imagine that they have attained a status that enables them blackmail others, tell blatant lies and get away with it.Without joining issues with Duncan Mighty, I would suggest that you double check on his antecedents and his friendships”
