When it comes to artiste management in Nigeria, Toni Payne is undoubtedly a name to be reckoned with in the industry. She has managed some artistes who have received good media attentions.
One cannot forget 9ice, Olamide, Adol, Dencia and Zara Gretti, but one common thing is that none of the names mentioned above are still with her.
Just when the artistes are getting the hypes in the media, they dust their shoes and leave. One cannot forget how she started with 9ice and even ended up marrying the singer, but all ended some months after.
Similar scenario was for Olamide and few others too.
In a recent interview granted by Adol, the talented singer poured out his mind on why he left Toni Payne due to 'unproductivity', but was quick to chip in that they still get along with each other after dumping the 'woman of many trades'.
According to Adol, "the contract we signed then expired and I decided to move ahead by working with other hands and starting afresh with other people."
When asked if he left because there was no improvement in his career, the singer said that, "when I used to worked with Toni, we did a lot of things together like shows and promotional works but you know that in this life, one needs to keep pushing.
"I was not comfortable with my career at some point, so, I needed to step forward and that is part of the reasons why I decided to use other hands because we have different people with different strategies but I can only describe my work with Toni as a step into success."
