It was a full house on Sunday the 6th of May at the maiden edition of Just Joking with Wale Gates which held at the Catford Broadway Theatre, London. Seasoned comics who performed on the night included Basorge Tariah, Jedi, Teju Babyface, Koffi and event host Wale Gates. The sold out event also featured rising rnb star Michael Word who performed some of his songs.
“I was pleasantly surprised to see a packed house and I'm immensely grateful to my fans and comedian friends who came out to support me. I can't wait for next years edition.” said an excited Wale Gates.
A host of UK based comedians also got the audience in stitches – Obonjo, Akpos, Sam Wakabout, Funny Ade and Snatcher. Saxophonist Wale Great set the mood and DJ's Abass, Bigyem, Davy Diamond, Whateva and Archyra rocked the house during intervals.
