
The wife of former Inspector General of Police,Mike Okiro,Hera,is dead.
Sources close to the family disclosed that she died in mysterious circumstances in the family's Abuja home after the bomb blast that rocked the Thisday newspaper office last week.
According to the report,she was having her breakfast when she heard the bomb blast and was informed that it took place at the This day office in the city after which she cut off what she was doing and told her aides that she was going inside to pray.
She never came back alive.
It was gathered that when her husband came back from an outing later in the day,he asked of her and was told how she went inside to pray and they did not hear from her since then.
He went into her room to knock and eventually the door had to be forced open,only for them to discover her lifeless body.
Mrs. Hera Okiro who was a devout Catholic was about 60 years old.
Family and friends as well as associates have been trooping to the former IG's house to commiserate with him on the great loss.
