Kotoko-Hearts set for grudge final
26.05.2006 LISTEN

Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday would have the opportunity to avenge the loss of the Top 4 trophy to Accra Hearts of Oak a fortnight ago when the play the Phobians in the Knockout finals.

The Porcupibe Warriors set up yet another cup final showdown with archrivals Accra Hearts of Oak after a 3-1 penalty win over Sekondi Hasaacas at the Gyandu park on Wednesday.

The Porcupine Warriors' victory was largely in thanks to young goalkeeper Eric Nii Baah who saved four penalty kicks during the shootouts to propel Kotoko into the finals.

The Obuasi Len Clay stadium would host the finals of the OneTouch knockout competition on Sunday.

The Len Clay stadium has emerged as a more viable option to the Sunyani Coronation Park, which presently seems the most likely destination of the special cup final.

Whereas the quality of the pitch at the Coronation Park seems to have deteriorated, crowd control seems to be another issue that the competition organisers, might consider in switching the venue of the final to Obuasi.

Fresh from their Top 4 conquest, Accra Hearts of Oak await the winner of Sunday's final tie with Accra Hearts of Oak.
