The Member of Parliament for Bawku Central constituency, Hon. Mahama Ayariga on Sunday donated bags of rice and boxes of cooking oil to the bereaved family of covid-19 patient who unfortunately passed on at the Bawku Presbyterian hospital.

The items were presented to the General Manager of the Bawku Presbyterian hospital and later handed over to the bereaved family.

The National Democratic Congress constituency Chairman, Mohammed Awindago who did the presentation on behalf of the opposition MP expressed his condolences to the bereaved families.

Mr. Mohammed Awindago advised the family and other related relatives to observe self quarantine for a period of fourteen days.

The constituency chairman was accompanied by constituency organizer, as well as constituency communication officer Yussif Otumba and a team of contact tracers from the Municipal Health Directorate.

The General Manager of the Bawku Presbyterian hospital, Kwaku Fianko Gyan expressed his appreciation on behalf of the family members for the kind gesture by the MP.

The 52-year-old deceased was first reported to the Bawku Presbyterian hospital on the 7th April, 2020 and her temperature was 41.1 degree celsius with difficulty in breathing, coughing, running nose, diarrhea, muscular joint pains.
