The National Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku, has appealed to all citizens to adhere to the directives given by the President with regards to the partial lockdown of some areas.
Sammi Awuku urged everyone to comply with the preventive measures set by the World Health Organisation and the Ghana Health Service to prevent the spread and contraction of the novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
” I’m pleading with all Ghanaians to comply with the lockdown restrictions and stay home to control the spread of the COVID-19 disease,” Sammi Awuku told Kingdom FM.
Sammi Awuku was optimistic, “I’m very hopeful Ghana will come back stronger in the fight against COVID-19,” he added
According to him, the majority of Ghanaians have so far complied with the lockdown. He urged everyone to implore God’s mercy and meditate on his word to be reassured of his compassion and readiness to support in times of need.
The Coronavirus which has been declared by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a global pandemic has recorded more than one million confirmed cases with at least 51,000 deaths and 208,000 recoveries, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
