Hypocritical Leadership Is Not What We Need As A Country

APR 14, 2020 LISTEN

We endured the Shatta Wale and dance hall shows in the 2016 build-up to elections, the Onaapo Sooloku moments and the shades and rhetorics that were thrown at Ghanaians whenever justice and accountability were demanded by the people.

These things has quickly metamorphosed into a good and calm boy status with Gospel songs and a sudden switch to a caring person all in the name of deceiving Ghanaians to once again mount the seat of government for personal parochial purposes.

The NDC and John Mahama in these times have displayed a deep sense of inhumanity and bloodlust in the spirit of taking political advantage of the global pandemic. The people who suffered his mafia and I-don't-carism are still alive to testify.

In the case of medical staff and frontlines personal being cushioned by the government in these times to deliver their best and wilfully sacrifice towards fighting Covid-19, a 50% increase in salary has been allocated to health personnel, a 350,000 assurance package, Provision of PPEs and others for them, the NDC and Mahama has been condemning H.E Akufo-Addo because of hitches here and there.

The fortunate thing is that Mahama has a record to compare and that will give us a clear understanding of who is willing to lead and who is just in for power to amass riches for self and friends.

An account given by Dr. Kwabena Opoku-Adusei who was president of Ghana Medical Association during the Mahama administration, the association had proposed a risk allowance during the Ebola epidemic in West Africa which was too cushioned and spur the frontliners on in order to save lives and prevent Ghana from being at risk.

He said Mahama rejected their request without hesitation.

This is the same Mahama who today is dragging government through a dirty pool for appropriating monies to health personnel but not in his way of thinking.

Like it or not, the intent and the decisions made by this administration in the fight against such a powerfully virus is remarkable and Ghanaians are grateful to this our President H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. His policies for curbing the virus and its spread is yielding results and Ghanaians know what the NDC is trying to do.

We as a country should not relent in our efforts. Let's collaborate with our President and the measures he has put in place. God will smile on us and the enemies within shall be put to shame.

God Bless Ghana, Nana Addo, And The NPP.
