Nana Adjei Boateng, Member of Parliament for New Juaben North, has donated sanitary items worth 100,000 cedis to households and public institutions in the area to prevent the spread of the COVID-19.

The items included 150 Veronica handwashing facilities, 150 dust bins, 150 rolls of paper tissues and 8,000 pieces of 100 and 200 MLS of hand sanitizers to be distributed to every household in the Constituency.

The MP who doubles as the Deputy Local Government Minister indicated that the donation was his personal contribution to complement government’s effort to curtail the spread of the disease.

In addition, he donated GHC10,000.00 to the Eastern Regional Coronavirus Response Team to support the setting up of a coronavirus treatment center in Koforidua.

He cautioned that government would not hesitate to close down any market that failed to observe the social distancing protocol to prevent the spread.

On the transport directive, he charged the various municipal and district assemblies to ensure that all lorry parks were complying with the reduction of passengers in vehicles.
