An Aspiring NPP Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem South, Mr. Eric Amofa has presented some essential Coronavirus preventive items to support residents of Juaso.

Mr. Amofa donated undisclosed number of Veronica buckets, boxes of soaps, hand sanitizers, tissues and hand washing buckets to all the four electoral areas in Juaso.

The donation forms part of his efforts to aide the people to comply with all precautionary measures and also support the Government in the fight against the Spread of COVID-19 in the Asante Akyem South area.

Mr. Eric Amofa had before the lockdown of some cities in Ghana embarked on public sensitisation on COVID-19 prevention, using some health professionals in the constituency.

The people of Juaso are currently living in excessive fear following the death of the father of Bice Osei Kuffour a.k.a Obour, popular musicians and NPP aspirant. Obour's father tested positive to the Coronavirus and died on Friday 27th March 2020 at the Ridge Hospital.

The deceased was said to have had close contact with several people at Juaso and some personnel at the Ridge Hospital in Accra after his son, Obour had allegedly concealed his travel and medical history.

Presenting the items to the Assembly Members of the various Electoral Areas, Mr. Eric Amofa appealed to them to place the items at vantage points for easy accessibility.

He appealed to all the people in the constituency who might have come in contact with Obour’s late father and the family to go for COVID-19 test.

The NPP Parliamentary Aspirant also advised the people to stay home, wash their hands frequently with soap under running water, use sanitizers and most especially observe the social distancing protocol.
