Former Managing Director (MD) of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transport Company (BOST), Mr. Alfred Obeng Boateng has donated Personal protective equipment (PPEs) to the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency to help fight against Coronavirus (Covid-19).

The global pandemic has spread to Ghana where there has been a total of 152 confirmed cases as of Monday, March 30, 2020. Out of those cases, 2 people have recovered while 5 people have sadly lost their lives.

In a bid to help the people in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency protect themselves from contracting the Covid-19, Alfred Obeng-Boateng has donated 3000 pieces of sanitizers, nose masks, and veronica buckets.

According to him, he hopes the items serves its intended purpose to ensure no member of communities within the constituency is infected.

“It is my humble prayer that these items being donated today together with all the laid down measures will go a long way to protect all of us against this deadly disease which is gradually reducing the lifespan of mankind and the quality of life we have been enjoying over several decades”, the aspiring NPP Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate for the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency said after donating the items.

He added, “My piece of advice is that let us use these pieces of sanitizers for its intended purpose and further obey all measures laid down by government and health professionals in order to eliminate the virus from the country and beyond”.

Alfred Obeng-Boateng further urged individuals with the capacity to also donate to follow his cue and contribute to the fight against the spread of the Coronavirus to help Ghana win the ongoing war.

“Let me take this opportunity to also invite great individuals who have been blessed by God and have the municipality at heart to join by also contributing their widow's mite towards the prevention and fight against COVID-19 in the constituency at this critical stage”, he concluded.
