An open data day is an annual event across the world which is designed to provide the youth with holistic learning and development opportunities to create jobs for themselves and others leveraging on their core skills and the local economic opportunities in different areas or professions.

The project is being implemented by Open knowledge Foundation with lead to enlightened societies around the world, where everyone has access to key information and the ability to use it to understand and shape their lives; where powerful institutions are comprehensible and accountable; and where vital research information that can help us tackle challenges such as poverty and climate change is available to all: a fair, free and an open future.

This year Footprints Bridge International (F-BRIDGE) joined the other three Ghanaian organizations to held open data day for equal development in creating jobs and wealth for the rural youth and women in Ghana. F-BRIDGE helps entrepreneurial men and women build businesses that create income, opportunity and economic growth in rural areas. F-BRIDGE believes that the key to promoting dynamic growth in Africa and in Ghana is to develop viable rural businesses.

With innovative and market-based solutions to social enterprises, businesses and communities with a desire to create economic opportunities .F-BRIDGE combine a pragmatic approach to identifying solutions for youth employment with an evidence-based Impact series platform to increase access to productive work for youth and women.

On 5th and 7th March 2020, F-BRIDGE and its local partners held one forum with the students at Advanced Instituted of Multimedia and Kings class school campus respectively with the theme “Measuring Impact for Jobs and Wealth Creation."

Mr Baba Adongo, Executive Director of Footprints Bridge International a guest speaker noted that it’s time for the youth to continue accelerating progress of open data toward the economic empowerment of rural youth and women which aim to improve equal development for impacts and jobs creation while boosting their income through advanced social enterprise technique.

“I’ve learned a lot from the training but the greatest of all is learning how best to create an equal development for youth and women with models that enhance the social, ecological and economic wellbeing of rural youth," said Prince Amegbo, participants and SRC President of Advanced Instituted of Multimedia.
