Regent of Dagbon commends security agencies

Yendi(N/R), May 08, GNA - Kampakuya-Naa Abdulai Yakubu Andani, Regent of Dagbon, has commended security personnel for their professionalism in managing security within Yendi District.

"The excellent efforts at handling the security situation has created a climate of hope and confidence among the people which is the pre-requisite to advance the cause of the roadmap to peace," he said. Kampakuya-Naa Andani made the commendation when President John Agyekum Kufuor visited Yendi on Sunday, May 7 to pay tribute to Ya-Na Yakubu Andani II and homage to the Regent at the Gbewaa Palace.

He appealed to President Kufuor to endeavour to appoint a capable and level headed person as Northern Regional Minister to help consolidate the gains chalked by Mr Ernest Akubuor Debrah and Alhaji Abubakar Saddique Boniface, both former Regional Ministers.

Kampakuya-Naa Andani commended them for working relentlessly to bring unity and peace to Dagbon and wished them well in their new endeavours.
