Management of the University of Cape Coast has strongly condemn acts of violence and vandalism which occurred this dawn resulting in the destruction of properties and injuries to some students.

Management in expressing regret has described the acts as unfortunate.

It has therefore, with support from the security services initiated investigations into the incidence.

UCC management in a press release has called on students, staff and the university community to remain calm indicating that all perpetrators will be brought to book and dealt with in accordance with the law.

The incident occurred when Ogua Hall were to climax their Hall Week celebration on Saturday with a durbar.

Three male students of the hall who got injured as a a result of the incident were treated and discharged at the Regional Teaching Hospital.
