The Eastern Regional Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Mr. David Prah has called on the Government to strip off Former President Mahama of any state privileges.

Speaking to the Media in Koforidua, Mr David Prah reiterated on Wednesday, that the former President has not lived up to expectation as a statesman, hence there's no need for him to enjoy the honour and privileges he is currently enjoying.

According to the NPP Communications Guru, the Former President John Mahama after going to opposition based on his incompetence and thievery, has never made a unifying statement and it feels sad for the state to continue spending on him as a Former Head of State

This call was made after the Former President John Mahama had mentioned that "If the electoral commission does not listen to them (NDC) and goes ahead to compile a new Voter Register and any strife or conflict occurs in the country, the electoral commission should accept the blame the blame thereof."

Mr. Prah believes such comments amongst others are not of good taste and that a man of his stature who is committed to peace shouldn't be speaking like that.

The NPP Outspoken Communicator, therefore, called on the Government to strip off the Former President Mahama of any benefits and privileges , so that, he will be measured with his public utterances.

He added that former leaders like Former President John Agyekum Kufour and Jerry John Rawlings have exhibited true statemanship in their utterances and they are people the state should be spending on.

He stated that Mr. Mahama's comment simply means "a call to war" and that does not constitute Statesmanship.

As a nation, we cannot spend on "War Monger" hence my call on the Government to strip-off all privileges and Benefits that are being enjoyed by the former President Mahama," Mr. Prah fumed.

He called on the good people of Ghana to ignore the "Call to War" comments from Mr. Mahama and support the President H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo by voting for him and all the NPP Parliamentary Candidates to continue with the good works they are doing towards the development of the country.

Mr. Prah ended by describing the comments made by John Mahama as reckless, useless and unfortunate since he expected the Former President to speak like a statesman rather than a mere noise maker on the street
