NDC Should Dare Point ‘Gov’t Official 1’ If It Is Not Mahama

It is of common knowledge that when it comes to corruption, former President John Dramani Mahama is marked with extraordinary dexterity, but none ever imagined his exceptionality could ever cross his boundaries and help him with the attainment of international glory and fame.

Airbus, Europe’s largest aerospace multinational, admitted that engagements and corrupt activities in Ghana spanned between 2009 and 2015, and its United Kingdom (UK) Court's ruling has been described by anti-corruption investigators as the largest ever corporate fine for bribery in the world of which judges have declared the act as "grave, pervasive and pernicious".

Unsurprisingly, John Mahama, the man who locally made corruption more epidemic than Ebola and coronavirus combined, has finally secured a place among the likes of Mohammed Suharto, Ferdinand Marcos, Slobodan Milosevic, and other notable most corrupt leaders of the century after his usher into the Corruption Hall of Fame by the Airbus Corruption scandal.

I have been observing how the crying coconut corrupt thug; Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, the NDC and some cohorts of Mahama are putting up some baseless and shameful defense in their bid to strip John Mahama off this hard-earned Airbus Corruption laurel of his, but if they ever envisage an adoption of their current stance by the public then the public doubts they first need to satisfy is a point out of their perception of the real Government Official 1 if they are indeed very firm on their conviction that former President John Mahama has not that identity as being publicly speculated.

As it stands now, all facts point to it that John Dramani Mahama is the Government Official 1 with the Intermediary 5 being a close relative of his who fronted this bribery for him as his other siblings have been fronting his other corruption frosted businesses for him. So until the NDC proves beyond all possible doubt that it is not John Mahama and a close relative of his, which is also impossible to prove due to the nonexistence of such a proof, the fact will forever remain that the Government Official 1 is John Dramani Mahama, a former President of Ghana.

In furtherance, the Office of the President's referral of this Airbus bribery allegation involving the acquisition of three military aircraft by the Government of Ghana between 2009 and 2015, to the Office of the Special Prosecutor is apt, smart, necessary and very timely.

The petition of the Special Prosecutor is very appropriate because aside it aiding with the clearance of doubts, and also naming and shaming, it also has the tendency to unravel the mystery and myth surrounding the death of the former President Prof. John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills and the acquisition of the faulty, wrecked, teetering and not to standard military airplanes for the nation at very exorbitant costs.
