NDC=68%, Wayo Seini=27%, CPP=3% Tamale, April 4, GHP - Mr. Fuseini Inusah, a 41-year-old Lawyer on Tuesday won the Tamale Central constituency by-election on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The results certified by the Electoral Commission gave Mr. Inusah 29,081 or 68.27% of the total valid votes cast to retain the seat for the NDC. Professor Alhassan Wayo Seini one of the independent candidates, who was backed by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), polled 11,579 representing 27.18%. Mr. Basharu Alhassan Daballi who stood on the ticket of the Convention Peoples' Party (CPP) had 1,365 votes representing 3.2%. Ms Rita Adams Rukaya of the Democratic People's Party (DPP) had 157 votes or 0.3 per cent with Ahmed Abdul-Karim also an Independent scored 416 votes representing 0.98.
