The Savannah Regional Women's Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hajia Mohammed Safiah, has donated assorted items to patients at the Buipe Polyclinic and the Holistic Medicare.

The gesture according to her, is to have time with the sick and make them feel part of the society.

Hajia Safia also used the opportunity to encourage women especially pregnant women to seek medical attention rather than resorting to self-medication and medication over the counter.

"We are trying all possible means as a government to end maternal mortality and this can only be achieved if my fellow women adhere to medical advice"

Touching on the 2020 general elections, Hajia Safia indicated that the NPP is the only party that has women at heart.

She believes the party has over the years introduced good policy interventions that touch the lives of the Ghanaian woman.

She mentioned the interventions by the government and the Samira foundation all geared towards improving the health needs of the people.

Hajia Safia also appealed to the people of the newly created Savannah Region not to disappoint the President for his unprecedented policy interventions that are impacting the lives of the people.
