Member of Parliament for Tema West, Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah has handed over keys of 10 Chevrolet Spark Lite to some drivers in the various electoral areas of the Constituency.
According to him, the move forms part of his campaign promises during the 2016 elections.
Addressing the media at the handing over ceremony, the MP said "We are not just giving these cars to them for no reason(s). They are industrious and have been loyal to the party and Constituency thus this honouring."
The lawmaker added that the drivers will be given grace period in which they will make full payments before owning the vehicles.
Hon. Ahenkorah further explained that the Constituency has achieved alot under his watch in areas such; Education and Health.
"I have done alot for my Constituency and today, I am here to present a vehicle to each of the Electoral areas we have and make my polling station Executive car owners," he added.
The MP assured that another batch of 20 cars will be distributed in June 2020.
He urges the drivers to handle the vehicle with good care.
The Minister hinted that measures are being put in place to fix the poor road networks in the area.
Speaking on the Ghana-Nigeria brouhaha, the MP mentioned that plans are far advanced and was confident that the pending issue will be resolved diplomatically.
