A group calling itself ‘AHSA Life’ has climaxed this year’s Yuletide with donations to some street children around Opeibea, a suburb of Accra.

According to the group, this move is part of measures at fighting streetism.

Leader of the group, Nana Serwaa said “It is about time we help tackle streetism which is a social canker in our own environment. By this, we are touching lives and bringing hope to the future of these children”

Nana Serwaa added that the NGO was inspired to do more this year after a successful celebration with some street children last year.

She mentioned that this year’s event saw over hundred children benefitting indicating that the NGO will be funding the education of 5 children starting January 2020.

“Most of these children are on the streets due to financial problems or neglect. Their education is very important to us. We will in our little way cater for 5 children for a start and in future do more,” she stated.

She was confident that AHSA Life will change and transform lives of street children adding that they are the future of the country.

AHSA Life, a Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) established a year ago. The group seeks to help street children who have been abandoned by the parents, families and societies.
