NPP are Travelling at a Supersonic Speed into Opposition Came Election 2020
21.12.2019 LISTEN

The words are conspicuously written, and the signs are vividly indicated in the sky that come election 2020, the NPP will be shamefully obliterated into oblivion. It will be consigned to where it has always belonged, thus, into the political wilderness. The leadership of the NPP, especially the President of the Republic, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, have waxed their ears deaf to the noisy announcements through drumming that the NPP are hurtling into opposition if they don't change course.

I have tried to alert the President to the impending doom in case he would change his style of governance but it seems my advice and warnings to him have fallen on deaf ears. He is obstinately travelling at a supersonic speed of 3,000 miles per hour and at an altitude of 45,000 feet above sea level into the Bermuda Triangle, the mysterious death trap set by nature. The engine of his plane has started to totter but he does not give a hoot.

I do not regret for spending my precious time campaigning for him to become the president of Ghana since his calling was from God with whatever I did to let God's purpose for him come to pass also coming from God. However, I feel embittered that the Nana Addo that I heard of, and understood to be, incorruptible, strict, fair and a no-nonsense person has become a shadow of himself to allow the very things he promised to fight against come to engulf him.

Probably, the leadership of the NPP came to fill their pockets as the NDC were doing hence not giving a damn about the cries of the public and the alerts from those who care about the survivability of NPP in power. If they did care, they would not be neglecting the outcries of their foot soldiers, and the moaning of the public to how difficult living conditions have become in Ghana.

I know belts must be tightened while the economy is being put back on a sound footing. Are the NPP able to explain to the populace why they are going through tough times now to enjoy later? No!! The leadership of NPP do not care! This is the more reason why NPP are unable to stay in power longer when they have the chance to come to power. They have no strategist. Therefore, they are without strategies.

Are those lucky to be in higher positions not selfishly enjoying so they cannot be bothered about the warnings of "beware the ides of March" by people like Rockson Adofo who constantly have their ears on the ground hearing the expressed views by the electorates? The leadership of the NPP are tickling themselves and laughing but the ground is too slippery for the party come election 2020.

I must confess, following the information gathered from many credible sources, should President Nana Akufo-Addo fail to listen to those outside his allegedly "friends and family" government that are ready to tell him nothing but the absolute truth, no matter how bitter it appears, he had better count himself a "one term" president. This is an indisputable fact according to the information reaching me all of the time.

Eugene Arhin, did you deliver my message to the president which I communicated to you through someone you know very well and is closer to you? Unless the person did not deliver the message, you would have seen that I was not lying. Barely a day or two after, you saw the "Afro barometer's" or whatever you call it, report on voters apathy. Is the voter turnout for the District Assemblies election not confirming my message?

Nana Akufo-Addo and Auntie Rebecca, please wake up in case you are slumbering to face the reality. I know the president is trying his hardest but most of those surrounding him are not performing. They are bringing him down by feeding him with wrong information. When the people are clamouring against the difficult living conditions they find themselves in, the sycophants will tell the president the people are applauding him for his good works. Some people that Head of State General I. K. Acheampong trusted did the same thing to him and it culminated in his execution by firing squad. For what they want to get, they will always tell you what you want to hear but not what you need to hear.

The president's nephew Gabby Okyere Darko is not a strategist and he is not helping his uncle to succeed to win re-election 2020. This is a gospel truth! He is more into what he stands to gain, I should think.

The free Senior High School education policy alone cannot save the president. It cannot guarantee him a winning outcome at election 2020.

For how long should I continue to support the NPP, spending sleepless nights gathering information and advising or warning them but the leadership won't listen?

You can check my previously published articles about how I used to warn Charlotte Osei, the Chair of Ghana Electoral Commission, but she would not listen. In the end, she lost her job. As I often say, "Obstinacy is the cause of the horns of the hornbill". Therefore, the president must take cue from the voter apathy at the District Assemblies election just conducted. This is an ominous sign for NPP at general elections 2020.

I may be compelled to withdraw my support for NPP should the leadership continue to be nonchalant and callous towards their foot soldiers and communication teams if at all they have any. Whenever the NPP are lucky to come to power, the leaders erect an impenetrable wall/fence around them. This is not a successful governing or election-winning strategy. It is pure madness bordering on absolute selfishness.

I am disappointed in the leadership and the entire way of doing politics in Ghana. Truly, the black man is not capable of managing his own affairs.

NPP will need a strategist to save them from a landslide defeat come election 2020.

Whoever comes across this write-up should please forward it on to their social media platforms (WhatsApp, Facebook, etc.) until it reaches the leadership of NPP, especially the president, his wife and nephew (Gabby Okyere Darko).

The president can turn the tables in his favour by seriously tackling corruption and ensuring that the Special Prosecutor successfully prosecutes suspected corrupt officials immediately. Many are those disappointed that corruption appears to be worsening in Ghana under the watch of President Nana Akufo-Addo.

A word to the wise is enough.

Rockson Adofo
