Vote John Mahama in 2020 and Get Many Things Free!

Feature Article Vote John Mahama in 2020 and Get Many Things Free!
DEC 15, 2019 LISTEN

The political terrain in Ghana for election 2020 is going to be very slippery. Either NPP or NDC have the chance to win or slip into a disgraceful, if not oblivious, hole.

Many a Ghanaian is not happy about the inability of the NPP government under His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to decapitate institutional corruption masterminded and spearheaded by the very politicians we elect and entrust with power to rule Ghana. The situation is made worse by the heads and the top brass of the Civil Service, the police and the personnel of the Ghana judicial service, especially the judges, court registrars and the bailiffs. They are the perpetrators and perpetuators of corruption, if I should be frank with them.

Following this seemingly letdown by the administration, the news is rife that some people are claiming to be sandwiched between the rock and a hard surface, thus, are in a total dilemma. They see NPP and NDC as more or less descending from the same matrilineal lineage, their value is the same, if the NPP is not worse. Is the son of Korkor and that of Dede not the same people as Ghanaians humorously often say? Is it not because they are both Krobos of descent? NPP and NDC leaderships are politicians therefore, that corrupt blood is circulating within them, some people allege.

However, I am seizing this opportunity to entreat Ghanaians to expose any member of NPP seen to be engaging in corrupt practices rather than to keep mute but decide to vote NDC and John Mahama back to power come election 2020. This is because, like promotional sales advertisement by some shops in Europe and the Americas, "Buy One, Get One Free" or "Buy One, Get One at Half Price", when you vote to re-elect John Mahama and NDC in 2020, you will get so many things free but will they be good for you generally?

You will get more money being pumped into the rearing of guinea fowls (nkomfem) that will end up flying not only to Burkina Faso but to many West African countries. Is it SUBA or SADA, someone please remind me. You will get more seedlings or trees being planted in the peak of the hot weather in the Northern regions only to wither without a single tree or seedling left to show that trees had indeed been planted. Millions of US$ or Ghana New Cedis would have been spent. It is all about a cleverly devised plot to steal money from Ghana.

Dear Editor,
Could you please publish this article for me?
Thank you.

Following this seemingly let-down by the administration, the news is rife that many Ghanaians are claiming to be sandwiched between the rock and a hard surface, thus, are in total dilemma. They see NPP and NDC as more or less descending from the same matrilineal lineage; their value is the same, if the NPP is not worse.

The child of Korkor and the child of Dede are the same people, some Ghanaians humorously say. Is it not because they are both Krobos of descent? NPP and NDC leaderships are politicians, therefore, that corruption-engendered blood is circulating inside all of them, some people allege.

However, I am seizing this opportunity to entreat Ghanaians to expose any member of NPP seen engaging in corrupt practices rather than keeping mute but decide to vote NDC and John Mahama back into power come election 2020. This is because, like the promotional sales advertisement in some shops in Europe and the Americas, "Buy One, Get One Free" or "Buy One, Get One at a Half Price", when you vote to re-elect John Mahama and NDC in 2020, you will get so many things free but will they be good for you generally?

You will get more money being pumped into the rearing of guinea fowls (nkomfem) that will end up flying not only to Burkina Faso but many West African countries. Is it SUBA or SADA, someone must please remind me. You will get more seedlings or trees planted in the peak of the hot weather season in the Northern regions only to wither without a single tree or seedling left to show that trees had indeed been planted. Millions of US$ or Ghana New Cedis would have been spent. It is all about a devised plot to steal money from Ghanaians.

You will get him signing this time around, more than 75% of the country’s mineral deposits, e.g. bauxite, to his younger brother (name withheld but you know whom I mean). The bauxite deposit in Nyanahin alone that he dubiously signed out to his brother which was abrogated by NPP due to the illegality of the contract, amounted to Billions of US dollars (US$). The money that could cater for so many people in Ghana by using it to realise many projects of collective interests, create jobs for the masses, was going to only one person to make him a mega billionaire able to buy expensive cars to register them with personalised name plates, "Opepeni No 1, No. 2, etc."

He will either help his brother, or his brother will use his name, to take loans worth millions of Ghana New Cedis but end up not paying back a pesewa. This will culminate in the collapse of the bank into insolvency, go into administration or bankruptcy. It was done to UT Bank and Merchant Bank of Ghana. UT Bank lent him GHS302 million while Merchant Bank lent him either US$58 million or GHS 58 million.

He will look elsewhere while his brother takes the delivery of his imported heavy machinery from the country's ports free with the issuance of dud cheques.

You will get many public service workers not paid for over three years, although they will still be working while having thousands of names of NDC favourites and foot soldiers who are actually not working on the government payroll drawing monthly salaries.

Teachers and nurses will have their allowances cancelled with an embargo imposed on recruitment of workers into the civil service.

All the above and many more which I will come out with in my subsequent publications will be gotten free of charge by Ghanaians from JDM and the NDC.

This is not just “Buy One Get One Free” but “Buy One Get Many Free”, thus, once you vote for Mr John Dramani Mahama (JDM), you will be faced with the multi-faceted problems leading to the depletion of the national coffers to service all the freebies listed above.

What about the free V8 cars to gift to some Ghana chiefs? Oh, Mahama and his infatuation with “gyaara”, a Hausa word meaning additional freebie, I should think.

This does not mean that the NPP should not be exposed if they are found to indulge in shady deals. Let us place the interest of the nation in the forefront of whatever we do. If I hear about any commitment of wrongdoings by the NPP, I shall expose them same as I expose the NDC.

The NPP are sleep-walking into election 2020. Are they aware of it? If they don’t change their attitudes to strategize a bit, the leadership and those profiting for the fact that NPP is in power will get the shock of their lives.

Sorry, I am tired and feeling very sleepy. I can’t even open my eyes so see you later.

A word to the wise is enough.
