13 NDC MP’s Vow To Quit ?

27.03.2006 LISTEN
By Vanguard

Signals intercepted by The Vanguard confirms that 13 members of Parliament of the NDC Northern caucus have vowed to quit the party, citing lack of internal democracy, clampdown on dissent and marginalization, as part of their reasons for deciding to abandon the umbrella fraternity.

Although the Vanguard has names of the disenchanted MPs, for strategic political reasons, we would withhold it for now as events unfold in the coming months. Present at the said meeting were Honourable John Tia, and Honourable Apasare. Dr Kumbuor who sat close to the Vanguard reporter however kept a mute silence and several of the MP's who later spoke to our reporter kept a mute silence during the course of deliberations.

Before Parliament went on recess four were unanimous, that their resignation from the NDC “is just a matter of time.” Reacting to the undertaking purported to have been signed by them (NDC MPs) at the Kama Conference Center recently, the MP's said like the disciples of Jesus Christ at the last supper, they cannot downplay the historic role of the party's founder and betray him “But time will tell” they sounded a clarion warning. Vanguard scouts within the NDC unearthed another shocking revelation and the bombshell is the intended resignation of Mr Ofosu Ampofo, National Organiser of the NDC as he is billed to join his wife in the United States to pursue an academic career.

Even though the respected teacher, turned farmer, now turned politician will deny this shocking revelation audio tapes available to Vanguard's Intelligence Unit clearly identify his voice, complaining to close confidantes about the frustration he is going through with the NDC. Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo widely perceived to be an Obed boy disowned the former NDC National Chairman during the Koforidua savagery to save his life and has since not been a happy man, said close associates.
