One way of achieving excellence is by looking at those better than ourselves. Keep learning what they do differently. Emulate it. Seek advice from outstanding people. Ghanaians especially the young politicians have a lot of role models to emulate. One such character is our president, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo.

From his political life and his struggled to rise to be the president, I have seen in his manifestation of values like honesty, integrity, consideration for others and humility. His tremendous dedication, discipline, and willpower pay him today. These values has survived for generations and is needed in ever greater measure in our world today. Which we the youth of this country, Ghana needs to emulate.

His perseverance to achieve his ideals(goals) is worthwhile. He lost the 2008 and 2012 general elections but never gave up on his ambition. Like Benjamin Disraeli, a former British Prime Minister simply puts it, "Nothing can withstand the power of the human will if it is willing to stake its very existence to the extent of its purpose. "

I can give you a number of men and women who gave up the fight at the first sight of failure. To us the youth, we can learn a lot from our leaders.

It requires a lot of strength of character to be charitable even to your detractors and embrace the less privileged. He is on record as the most vilified politician in Ghana before his election into office. But has never responded in equal measure. Such is the personality of our president.

To those aspiring to political offices and to all citizens, you have him as your model! To support him, help him to succeed as our president.

They say, behind every successful man, is a woman is real. The wife, Mrs. Rebecca and the five daughters also deserve commendation.

Let's focus to make this administration a success.

God bless our homeland Ghana
God bless Bawku.
