As the Akan wise saying goes "Nea w)fro dua pa, na y3 pia no" to wit "we support only the man who traverse a worthy course." Ejisu has not only a member of parliament in Honorable Kwabena Owusu Aduomi but rather, Ejisu constituency have got a Father, a responsible father of course who is highly minded about the progress and development of Ejisu.
To start with, we have seen certain plain "strangers" nursing attempt to test their political popularity by aspiring to represent Ejisu in parliament; let it go down in the records that, Ejisu constituency is not dreaming of having nor is it ready to try any "stranger" living far away in KASOA of central region as their representative in parliament.
Indeed, we would find words to be exhaustive, if we are to state all the good attributes of the deputy Minister for Roads and Highways. Surveys conducted by different bodies have readily named Honorable Kwabena Owusu Aduomi as a fine gentleman and one of the very few who are almost always raising up NPP party faithfuls from abject misery and despair. For us in Ejisu as NPP delegates, in spite of the huge task on his desk as minister for Roads and Highways, a weekend barely past without the feeling of his physical presence in Ejisu constituency.
However wierd it may sound, it seems to us that, Honorable Owusu Aduomi makes enough time for the Ejisu constituency than anything else of himself. Talk of his support , we prefer to put more appropriately- He is here for humanity. Essentially, Mr Aduomi's down to earth persona and his genuine respect for all, appears to being the lasting impression he leaves with people he crosses path with. A top spiritual leader in Ashanti Region who pleaded to remain anonymous described Honorable Aduomi as a "Heaven sent"; we think Honorable Aduomi mirrors this description. The NPP having won power and his appointment as Minister for Roads, he remains the same down to earth, benevolent, empathetic, sincere and hardworking member of parliament.
His good thoughts, commitments, contributions and sacrifices to the growth of Ejisu constituency must and will not go unnoticed. Few weeks ago, it came as not suprise to some of us, when it was widely reported about the President Akufo-Addo's high speaking of and commendations for Mr Aduomi for his selflessness and personal sacrifices in building of a bridge and other projects in Ejisu. The President Akufo-Addo was quoted by news reports as saying "well done Kwabena Aduomi." The coming of Honorable Owusu Aduomi as Ejisu's member of parliament has since, seen a major facelift of the constituency via the sprung of several infrastructural projects ranging from roads, schools, retooling of hospitals, building of Teachers Bungalows, digging of mechanized boreholes, to mention few.
On his contributions towards human developments, we may lose count of his commitments in this regards. The NPP party faithfuls cannot be thankful enough for benefiting from the goodness, kindness, benevolence of Honorable Owusu Aduomi. A head teacher in one of the basic schools narrated to us about how honorable Owusu Aduomi impacted his life and brought smiles to his face and that of his family's when the burdens of the world weighed down on him. Similarly, mention can be made of two long serving health practitioners of Ejisu hospital who identified themselves only as Kofi and Twumwaa francisca. These two women narrated their story on how they benefited from the benevolence of honorable Owusu Aduomi.
It is no gainsay that, NPP party faithfuls who are affiliated to other constituencies find it worthy to call on Ejisu delegates on the need to reelect and retain Honorable Owusu Aduomi. On electoral strengths, the accomplished Engineer Honorable Owusu Aduomi has since his coming into the political scene, increased significantly the votes of then presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo. Owusu Aduomi appeals to all regardless of party colors. It is in this light that, we, as NPP delegates in Ejisu constituency, are using this medium to register our concerns and calling on all stakeholders in Ejisu to strengthen our continuous support and to renew our commitments to reelect Honorable Kwabena Owusu Aduomi as our member of parliament.
