The executives of the Volta Regional Juvenile Club Owners Association of Ghana (JUCOAG) have paid a courtesy call on the newly elected chairman of the Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA), Daniel Agbogah.

The meeting which took place in Ho at the Regional FA’s secretariat was to congratulate Mr. Agbogah for his victory during the just ended election as well as familiarize with the Regional FA.

The regional JUCOAG executives were led by their chairman, George Ofori, who said the aim of JUCOAG is to compliment the juvenile activities of the Ghana Football Association.

He added that as an association of club owners they are more concerned about marketing their players hence their active participation in various activities of the District Football Associations (DFA) which is under the RFAs and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) respectively.

“We are not taking the job of the DFAs and RFAs, our main aim is to market our boys, get recognition, educate and guide them” Mr. Ofori said.

JUCOAG cannot act on its own,” He added.

The RFA chairman, Daniel Agbogah lauded the Association, JUCOAG for a good initiative and encouraged them to take advantage of the Player Registration window to register their players into the system before the window closes.

The RFA chairman reiterated the need for members of JUCOAG to get their clubs' licenses and necessary documentations in place which is a requirement for all clubs in the country.

“You must also be aware that there is a change - you must follow the status quo and get registered with the Registrar General, i.e. your certificate of incorporation so that you can reposition your club” Mr. Agbogah said.

He acknowledged the challenges being faced by the juvenile teams and advised the association not to hesitate in getting the right people in handling and developing these juveniles.

Mr. Agbogah assured the association of his administration’s support and also edged them to bring on board ideas that could revive the colts’ league to an appreciable standard in the region and the country at large.
