Bawku (U/E), March 24, GNA - A seventeen-year-old junior secondary school pupil who allegedly killed his classmate with a punch on Wednesday has been granted a 50 million cedi bail by the Bawku District Magistrate's court. Razak Akurugu has been put on a provisional charge of murder. His plea was not taken and is to reappear before the court again on April 21. Police Detective Inspector Andrews Yirenkyen told the court presided over by Mr Alex Ofori Owusu, that both Razak and the deceased, Samsudeen Aminu were classmates at Daduri Catholic JSS. He said on March 22, a misunderstanding ensued between the two mates after Aminu had mentioned Razak's name for disturbing in class. Mr Yirenkyen said Razak slapped and punched Aminu leading to his instant death.
