The Founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Mr. Percival Kofi Akpaloo, has said the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), will never come to power again.
Speaking to Lawyer Ohene Gyan on ‘Pae Mu Ka’ on Kingdom FM 107.7, he said,” the NDC is no longer an option for Ghanaians when it comes to competence and accountable leadership.”
”The NDC campaign message for the 2020 General Election will be a defence of the legacy of the former president and NDC as an alternative is a bad one and will not have any message in 2020.”
According to the controversial flag-bearer, there is no message because the party is not reliable, accountable and transparent to manage this country.
He said the NDC is clutching on straws with their choice of former president John Mahama as its flagbearer.
He said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) cannot win power come 2020 with John Mahama as Presidential candidate.
According to him, some selfish people in the NDC wanted to make sure that they would still be in charge and benefit unduly in terms of political power.
The 2020 Presidential hopeful was of the strong view that Mr. Mahama cannot return the NDC into power in 2020, “in spite of the massive endorsement from his party’s delegates”.
