When a leader finds the right pillars to build excellence, he must immediately start building. This one district one factory is one of the great achievements of the NPP (Nana-Bawumia) government. When we ( Ghana) compare our situation today with yesterday, we can feel and see the huge change that took place (example of such is the one district one factory), and we can also see what is still left to achieve.
This project is subjected to intensive feasibility studies by dedicated consultants. Excellence in implementing such a project means you must be right from the outset, in every respect. This is what the government is always trying to achieve while acknowledging the risks.
Most of the government achievements are just samples of what will follow in the future. They are a test of our ability to face new challenges because our vision for the future is far-reaching. I salute the Trade Ministry. We must always be alert and ready to avail ourselves of any emerging opportunities or if necessary, make them ourselves. The work team must acquire all possible expertise to solve the problems we expect to meet on our way to excellence. If we do not find the right challenges, we should make them, because they are the best training the work teams should have.
