The Bono East Regional Coordinating Director Mr. George Padmore Mensah Schooled Ghana Armed forces command and staff college senior division on their environmental study tour to the Bono East Region as part of their course 41.

He said Bono East Region is one of the six newly created regions in the country with 99.5% votes cast by the people in favor of its creation on the 27th December, 2018 Referendum.

He further stated that a Four (4)-Storey Regional Coordinating Council office Complex was handed over to a contractor on the 31st October, 2019 and work has since commenced.

Mr. Padmore made this disclosure at a meeting held between the Bono-East Regional coordinating Directorate and Students of Ghana Armed Forces Command College-Senior Command and Staff Course 41 (5GAFCC) held in Techiman, the Bono East Regional Capital.

He applauded Government for the creation of the Region and stress that, the creation of the Region has brought Governance close to the door step of the people in terms of routine administrative flows and management.

Touching on human resource capacity of the RCC, Mr. Padmore stated that the Region had so far received 306 staff postings made up of 22 Regional heads, 12 Senior Officers, and 272 officers of all Classes, he added that one Million Ghana cedis GH₵ (1.000000) have so far being received from Government to Finance the set up activities of the Council.

In his welcome address, The Regional Minister for Bono East Region Hon. Kofi Amoakohene appreciated the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College Senior Division course 41 for choosing Bono East Region as part of their environmental study tour, He assured them to be calm and enjoy their tour in the Region, he said arrangement had being made for them to meet the chiefs and also visit tourist sites in some parts of the Region.

The purpose of the meeting was to school the Ghana Armed forces and staff college senior division on the activities of the Regional Coordinating Council. The delegation included Staff officers, 24 students across African Countries such as Cote D’ivoire, Burkina-Faso, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, and Tanzania among others are all part of the theme to explore the Region.
