Fiapre Township in the Sunyani West District was thrown into a state of shock and disbelief when four young men were sighted eating human excreta (shit) at a public toilet on the early hours of last Friday.
The popular young men, suspected to be “Sakawa boys” have since fled the town when their cover was blown by another young man around 0400hours.
Modern Ghana reporter learnt the four suspected “Sakawa boys” who were in their 20s, were sitting on bare floor at an abandoned public toilet in the town eating the faecal matter, but immediately bolted when they sighted another young man on the scene.
Some residents told this reporter during a random interview that activities of “Sakawa boys” were gaining root in the area, and appealed to the police to intensify night patrol in the town.
“But this is not the first time this indecent is happening in this town”, one of the residents said on condition of anonymity.
